Fraser Island!

Yeah... it was a rough four days

The 107 was left back on the mainland, as I was offered a seat in the Queen Mary

Barge loads directly on the beach

Sadly, not a leaf spring to be found on this trip

After rounding Sandy Cape, the waves are much smaller

Fraser Island is one of the most amazing places I have visited, and hope to return one day.

Day in Brisbane

While the 107 is off having a canopy fitted, I rode the train into Brisbane for the day.

First stop was to the Queensland Maritime Museum.

HMAS Diamantina

Depth charge launcher on back of 107 to keep tailgaters away?

Super awesome tin and steel, steam powered model.  2M long, twin screw propelled for use in sheltered waters.

After the Maritime Museum, I walked down the boardwalk to the Queensland Modern Art Gallery.
There were some great displays, but I neglected to take any pictures...
Except for one of the forest of fuzzy white trees.

In all, was a great way to spend a few hours.

First trip with the new rover.  Drove 500 miles, and no major dramas, to the East coast Land Rover meet at Glenreagh (Glen-ray).

Exploring junk piles with fellow junk enthusiasts.

Resting Rover P3

Headed out to explore some tracks.

107 in the wild.

New mates at the end of a great weekend.
